Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality Control is Lacking I bought this unit along with a new evaporator just over 12 months ago. This spring started it up and found it had lost all of the refrigerant due to a faulty schrader valve on the refill port. The 12v fan has also died. For the price I paid for the unit I'm very disappointed in the quality control or lack of

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Boats A couple of things, we just needed this part but it didn’t fit the fittings of our 2005 310 it would have been nice if those notes would have been provided. It meant a delay in refrigeration as we needed to order the chill plate. The compressor said it was full of freon, it was not, IT WAS half full— another delay. It is working perfect now!

Questions

I have 2 existing holding plates can I hook up the CU unit 100 to the reconditioned holding plates?  I have about 10cf of refrigeration freezer space I am cooling.

Asked by: Dgrones
Last summer was 3rd year. Works great but on start up takes2-3 days to get the heat out of the insulation that surrounds the refrigerator.  When the cold plate starts to show a film of ice, take a hair dryer and defrost.  Takes 20 minutes.  Also don’t expect warm beverages to cool quickly.  Best to put a couple of frozen 1/2 gallon water jugs.  This aids in dropping the temp of every thing in the boat fridge.  Like all other equipment on boat, you need to learn to manage it.  I installed with help of one friend and would purchase again.  Don’t try found it alone.  You need that second person.
