Great product
Best contact glue I've tried in 10 years of fixing marine and sailing products.

Excellent adhesive
I've tried many different adhesives on my hypalon dinghy, and this stuff is far and away the best. My only complaint is that Weaver doesn't offer smaller sizes. This is way more than you need for a medium-sized patch. And it doesn't keep well once opened, so it's just wasted. Would really be handy if they offered single-serving sizes. 🙂

The right stuff
I thought we were going to have to get a new dinghy, as ours was leaking air in multiple places.... I used a few cheapskate fixes first... 3M 5200, Shoe Goo, contact cement... None held. But with several good hypalon patches held on with Weaver 2-part, it's tight as a drum again. Still holding tight after a couple of months. We'll see how many more seasons we get, but I'm very happy for now.

Great product
If you follow the directions this product works great. It even held down the rub rail on my old boat. My only problem with it is that you have to use all of it ounce you open it. If you just need to put on a patch, it's very expensive. It will cost you almost hundred dollars to patch a small pin hole by the time you buy this,a patch and solvent

Questions
What cleaning solvent should be used to clean and prep the surfaces prior to applying the adhesive? The installation sheet makes no mention of what should be used
Hi Paul, typically a good soap and water will be fine giving the space a light sand. If the boat is shinny after you clean it this could mean it has been treated with a Sylicone for PVC use MEK for Hypalon use Xylene. These are both strong chemicals so use them sparingly only where you are to apply the glue, cleaning the surface again after. I hope this helps,
Lisa
