Can this be used with LiFePo4 battery chemistries?
No, the PWM Light series of charge controllers are not appropriate for LiFePO4 batteries. They are primarily designed for use in lead acid systems. Their charging algorithms could under- or overcharge a Lithium battery. For Lithium batteries you will want to look at the BlueSolar or SmartSolar lines of charge controllers which have built-in LiFePO4 charging profiles. The SmartSolar products are compatible with Victron’s VictronConnect app, which allows complete control right from a phone, tablet, or Bluetooth-enabled PC.
