The Vesper Marine GPA680 Cellular Antenna offers increased range for continuous service when out on the water. Mountable in several different positions, the GPA680 External Cellular Antenna connects to the Cortex M1's hub using a cellular antenna patch cable.

Does this increase your regular cell phone service by getting a stronger signal or do you need to purchase a marine cell service?
This antenna is only used by Vesper to increase their ability to access their Cloud service. It does not increase your own connection capacity. You don't need to have a cellular provider, Vesper takes care of connecting to a multitude of providers. However, Vesper's ability to provide adequate service depends on the quality of cellular services in the ship's immediate environment.
