Questions
The picture shows a tether attached to the harness. Does it come with it?
No the tether doesn't come with it.
The Spinlock tether can be purchased separately https://defender.com/en_us/spinlock-dw-str-03-c-deckware-series-tether but personally i don't like this tether for two main reasons. first all 3 clips are the same and it only takes being in the dark and tired to end up with all 3 clipped to the boat instead of you. Second by clipping the short lead with out the load cell to your vest either for storage or because they are hard to tell which is which in the heat of the moment you can defeat the load cell.
I much prefer this model from Kong https://www.kong.it/en/product/elastic-tether-double/
or this one https://defender.com/en_us/wichard-proline-r-us-sailing-offshore-double-tether-7069 Both solve the issues with the Spinlock and offer a way to release the tether under load in an emergencies. (Cutting a tether with a knife is not a real world practical solution in the moment)
