Shakespeare Galaxy Extension Mast - 5228 Item # 882810
Description
The 8' Galaxy 5228 is a 95" (2.4 m) long, heavy-duty extension mast that's constructed of high-quality Shakespeare white fiberglass, and finished to match Galaxy® antennas.
Features:
- This 1 1/2" diameter extension mast can be used to increase height of an antenna and thus improve effective range, or to boost placement of an antenna above on-board obstructions
- Stainless steel upper and lower ferrules with Standard 1"-14 thread Male and Female end fittings
- Note: Use an upper support bracket (Sold Separately) if the length of antenna and mast total more than 8'
- Suggested Mount(s): (Sold Separately)
- 409-R - Combines the versatile 407, heavy-duty Swivel Mount with the Shakespeare 408 Insulated Stand-off Bracket

Lofty Ambitions
High quality product used by me for mounting a dedicated Metz Manta AIS antenna. The only reason I did not give it a full 5 stars is the top male fitting is intended for a Shakespeare antenna with a compatible female fitting. I had to make my own adapter for mounting the METZ because Shakespeare does not offer one.
