Sea Hawk Cukote Antifouling Bottom Paint Item # 881344
Description
Sea Hawk Cukote Antifouling Paint is a self-polishing copolymer antifoulant with a high loading of cuprous oxide. The formulation of this bottom paint makes it a top performer, even in the most severe fouling areas. As an ablative, self-polishing coating, there is no buildup of bottom paint over time.
Features:
- Self-polishing copolymer antifoulant
- High loading of cuprous oxide makes this formulation a top performer, even in the most severe fouling areas
- As an ablative, self-polishing coating, there is no buildup of bottom paint over time so the hull's underwater surface remains smooth and clean
- The copolymer can withstand removal from water without affecting its antifouling properties
- May be used on all steel, fiberglass, and wood vessels that have planned dry-dockings of less than 3 years
- Multi-season performance on pleasure craft, coastal and deep sea vessels
- Harder ablative finish makes Cukote ideal for fast moving vessels including pleasure craft power boats, high speed transports, supply vessels, and ferries
- Does not contain any Organotin compounds (TBT)
- Lloyd's Registry Certified
- Suitable for below the waterline only

Best for Hot fresh water areas
Super clean from slim, most of the summer! I like the Shark White to see when it gets slimy.

High quality and durable.
This is an excellent antifouling paint. We bought the boat last year and the first application lasted 5 years (in Lake Michigan). Reapplication was relatively easy, although it should be done in a well ventilated area.

Great product, great store!
This is the best bottom paint I have found to work in an especially bad marina, as far as marine growth.
Defender had the best price and quick shipping

Questions
What is the best paint roller size and nap for application, assuming at least 2 coats.
Hello,
Seahawk Recommends a solvent resistant roller cover 3/8” pile
(nap), smooth to medium. Prewash roller cover to remove loose fibers prior to use a standard 9" or 7" roller is fine depending on your preference.

What is the recommended maximum time you could wait to put the boat back in the water?
I've waited 4-5 months after painting and no problem. Might want to call Sea Hawk customer service and ask how long before repainting or lightly sanding.
