Works OK. Not durable.
Ordered as a replacement. We have three of these on our cruising sloop. They are good as vents; the soft plastic is safer if stepped on, but wish they where made from better quality material -- three stars because the plastic develops a gooey, stained and uncleanable surface. Count on needing replacements every few years.

Junk. As numerous other people have pointed out the outside breaks down first season and makes a really sticky glue that does not come off and looks nasty. Defender should not even sell this product. Complete waste of money.

Perfect fit
Perfect fit for replacement of the original 17 year old cowl vents. Candidly, a little pricy for what they are, but it’s a boat so what can you do.

Does the rubberized surface degrade and become sticky in sun and heat?
Yes, the vinyl becomes sticky from UV exposure after a little more than a year
