Questions
Can this dimmer switch replace a single pole DC light switch or does it need a separate power source? The current lights ground back to ground strip and the switch breaks positive wire to multiple lights.
Thank you for reaching out to the Defender Team! This answer depends. It can replace a dimmer switch on single pole DC as long as the max load on the switch does not exceed 1.5Amps. I have enclosed a installation schematic from Sea-Dog.
