Brilliant design
This tool is amazing. I’m an engineer and I had to buy it just to figure it out. An absolutely brilliant design and I can’t wait to use it. It does everything I was hoping it would. I wish I would have designed this but I’m not nearly intelligent or creative enough. Just glad that somebody else was.

Great until it stopped working
I purchased the 3 meter model. As an engineer, I thought the action was really neat. And it did work as advertised for a short time. After not many uses (maybe 20x), the mechanism stopped working. I emailed the inventor and he provided some helpful input, including disassembly instructions. Unfortunately a complete disassembly and reassembly has not restored functionality. So now I own a $300 conventional boat hook. I would not recommend this product to anyone. A neat concept but unreliable and expensive.

Good quality, well built
This boat hook is well made and should last. It is heavier than others but it has that magic sliding hook, extends, and the pole part is heavy duty. I like it so far, the reach is good and helpful.
