Information not provided with this product
The booklets provided with the i50/60 do not accuately discribe this product. The Seahawk adotor cable E22158, must be used with the NMEA0183 converter (the one with the yellow center connector) If you use this connector, 12vdc is provided to the bus and no additional 12 volt should be applied. If 12vdc is applied to the bus by other means, the seatalk converter cable (2 wire) must be used to transmit data and not 12vdc. Only one source of 12vdc can be applied. (These cables have been discontinued. There is a serious lack of installation information..

Worked Great
Perfect for connecting to an older system, in my case an older autopilot

Questions
Is this cable bidirectional? Does data pass both ways, ie Seatalk hs to Seatalk1 as well as the opposite?
Yes, I used it on my old autopilot and was able to control it from the ST6001+, it would register the rudder position back with the movement of the helm, it would also provide the course which comes form the Computer unit.
