Devil is in the details
So you bought an Auto Tiller and thought you were good to go. Probably not. You're likely going to need one or more adapters for attaching the Auto Tiller end pins. Well, this one gets you a mounting to the side combing of your boat, if that's the route you take. You will need to take some careful measurements to establish the proper geometry as specified by the manufacturer. Keep in mind you need to subtract off the height of the end cap less the insertion depth before you cut the rod. Measure and calculate 3 or 4 times before you cut. It's a costly mistake if you cut it too short. Also cutting through 1" solid aluminum is a work out. Get yourself a fresh hacksaw blade or the like. Cut doesn't need to be super neat because it gets covered by the end cap. Finally make sure your end cap hole is vertical with rod fully screwed and snug in socket before locking it in with epoxy. Another opportunity to make a costly mistake. Overall a high quality, solid piece of hardware.
