Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Axiom 7 Chart display, or lack of. It's ability to be an autopilot controller is fine. The issues show up with the Navionics charts. It seems to kill the Navionics chip. You put the chip in and all is ok. If you take the chip out (with power off) it kills the chip. Two weeks and the problem is still not solved. The original chip that came with the Axiom was defective. Navionics replaced it. It worked until I had to remove it for an Axiom required update. When I reinstalled the chip it was dead ("No charts" was on the display).

Asked by: Lonnie

I have an older Raymarine C70 chartplotter with an older radar. My C70 screen went out, and I was told that a new chartplotter would require me to get a new radar. But someone told me that this Axiom 9 would work with the old radar. Is that correct?
