Very nice compass. EZ to read. Hole cutout is irregular and made installation much more complicated.

The good and bad it is not ugly
I like it, but when they said you can see it inside the cabin, I assumed it would say the same as outside not a 180 degrees off. It lacks the fine tuning screws also. The price and size won me over, I am happy.

Contest 101 is a great piece of kit
She was on the boat when we bought her nine years ago. Still in excellent shape. Not a hint of cloud in the oil, and tracks just as it always has.

What determines inclined bulkhead verses vertical bulkhead. I have one of these mounted now on a bulkhead that is maybe inclined 20 degrees. Is the vertical choice only for perfectly vertical?
My bulkheads are slightly inclined. I used vertical compasses and the discs are tipping upward a bit. With inclined compasses the discs would be level because the back of the compass will compensate for the incline of your bulkhead. It would be my recommendation that you use the inclined compasses.
