Description
Pettit's Z-Spar Flagship High Build Varnish consists of a special blend of resins and oils that provide excellent performance and a warm, light amber hue. Flagship Varnish contains an ultraviolet light filter in conjunction with a light stabilizer to screen the sun's damaging rays for longer life.

Best Varnish
I have been varnishing teak and mahogany for forty plus years. This is the best varnish I have ever used. The Flagship has superior UV protection compared to the Captains and is well worth the extra cost. Also, you should consider using West System epoxy 105 resin and 205 clear hardener as your first coat. It will give your varnish a longer life and give the wood more protection. Make sure the wood is dry enough before applying the epoxy. West System has excellent customer service in the event you have questions about this step.
