Is the receptacle for the light pole tilted slightly so that the pole angles back somewhat?
No, this receptacle does not provide any rake to the pole light. It positions it straight up and down.

I have a base im replacing from 2006 do you know if the overall height of this is still the same? I got a cheap one from box store and it's too tall for the mounting location on my bow

Unfortunately, we do not have the Perko Light Socket in stock.
I spoke to Perko and they said the length is 2 5/8 inches. Not counting the leads.
