I am replacing an existing mastlight base, make unknown. Pole with light is missing. What is the measurement between the mounting holes on the Perko base?

What is the difference between the mount of the 1181 and the 1184? I know 84 is for vertical mount, but can 81 be used for that as well?

Asked by: Tad395
Hello, The mounting base on the 1181 is oriented left to right vs fore and aft on the 1184. I attached a image of the mounting instructions for both(they are on the same sheet). The main concern in mounting is that the orientation and position of the light meets the USCG requirements.
