Great Line, Good Pricing
Used for replacing older headsail sheets. They look and perform great so far. Nice feel in the hand and good grip in the winch jaws. Very happy with Defender's pricing and service.

Not as good as the old
Very inferior to my existing old line this would have replaced. Started out with the idea to replace my furlling halyard line with this. This involves sewing the new line onto the old line and using the old line as a chaser to pull this through the top of the furling block top of mast. As I was sticking a needle into the New England DB rope In found it went through very easily. Trying to get the needle through the old line was very difficult. This is when I started comparing the strength and quality. The New England DB was far inferior. Same size and thickness but inferior. Even a simple pinch test confirmed this. I found the inside to be a little cheap on the unbraided continuous white filament/fiber core. Maybe they cut back on materials or redesigned this line....just seems like it's inferior. Decided to cut the frayed part off my old line and continue to use it. The 'New" Sta-Set Polyester DB rope will sit unused. Also, another issue....this may be related to Defender. The New England S-S line was cut to size and just sent to me with frayed cuts. No hot blade used or melted ends on this line. Sent it to me messy, loose and frayed. 1 star for the issues+ 1 star for being pretty= 2 stars
