Description

The MAXSET Bow Roller design guarantees that MAXSET stainless steel and galvanised anchors, along with similar competitor versions, are efficiently self-launched during anchor deployment. When the anchor is fully retrieved, the MAXSET bow roller ensures that the anchor fits securely into the roller and will not rattle around when the boat is under way.

Questions

Is there a weight rating table for pivoting bow rollers? I'm looking for a setup that can handle a 35K plow/claw on a 50 ' trawler.

Asked by: Rodger
I am not aware of any weight table for this bow roller. Usually, in your case, the larger (gauge) the better relative to the weight of the anchor as well as the size of the anchor chain. Two important things to keep in mind with bow rollers...1. is it large enough (usually length) to properly fix to the of the bow (deck area), and 2. does the roller extend far enough out from the bow so that the anchor will not impact the bow.

What is the outer width of the pivot bracket?

Asked by: Steve

Same question…what is the outer width of pivoting section?  I’m wanting to install the pivot in an existing bow roller.
