Makes Gen2 Joystick work with Gen Thruster ONLY!
PAY ATTENTION!
The compatibility wording is confusing on this device. The legacy box allows you to install a Gen 2 Joystick on a Gen 1 Thruster. Lewmar calls the joystick a "controller," but this is not the same as the new blue-box ICU "Intelligent Control Unit" that comes with your Gen 2 Thruster. If you are replacing a Gen 1 Thruster with a Gen 2 Thruster your original joystick will not work. I gave 5 stars because Lewmar makes a good product and Defender has top-notch customer service. I hope this review helps future customers.
