does not cool below 45 degrees!
DR85 refrigerator problem.
It does not keep items cool at all. I have a thermometer in it and it registers maybe average 45 degrees. Milk sours, drinks are cold for about 3 minutes when you remove them. And forget about using the freezer for a freezer.
We have tried contacting Isotherm and are told several astonishing things.
You need to prechill anything you put in there. It will not chill anything from room temperature down to reasonable cold for drinking or keeping dairy products safe to drink.
You should not install this outside. (HUH? It’s a boat – hatches and portholes open most of the time.
Every time you open it, it loses another 5 degrees.
Isotherm blames it on the surrounding air being too warm.
Our previous vitrifrigo was so cold it actually froze things. It seems that the compressor on this DR85 unit is sadly undersized.

Go with the drawer!!!
I wanted to replace my door isotherm with a drawer isotherm since the minute I got my RV. Working with defender was simple and easy. They had it in stock. They shipped it out right away. I actually got it faster than I thought I would get it. It was very pleased with that.
Direct replacement simple installation what more.

Great Refridgerator
Great refrigerator, it is my third one…. The first one I installed in my sailboat, the second one I installed in my first adventure van and now I am installing my third one in my new build adventure van. It is just enough space and uses very little energy. The pullout drawer makes it very functional
