Be careful where you get your paint.
I have used Interlux Micron Extra for over 32 years of both full and part time sailing through out the North Atlantic and Med. The paint has never failed us often lasting 3 plus years between haul outs. However this year, purchased from Defender, it had settled almost beyond saving. Shaking was useless. 3 hours of work with a large screwdriver was required to dislodge the sediment and restore the paint. I do not know the mfg date or whether the fault lies with the maker or the seller but buyers beware. Time will tell if the paint performs as in the past.

Very Happy with the results
Salt water only catamaran. Applied in the fall of 2022. it is now 18 months later, and still going strong. Spent time in Texas, Key West and Bahamas. I have never scrubbed nor touched the bottom. It is in great shape and happy with an ablative paint. I will get it renewed this spring/summer for a new coat!

Hard to mix
Love the color but it was all settled and impossible to fully mix. Some globs left in paint. Too early to review the antifouling efficacy

Almost as good as the discontinued Micron 66
I used Micron 66 for years with excellent results with the boat living all year in a slip in San Francisco Bay and more recently seasonally on a mooring in the Gulf of Maine. One (or occasionally two light) coats every 2 years prevented nearly all growth in either location. When Micron 66 was discontinued, I switched to Micron Extra SPC on the advice of Interlux, due to its compatibility with the existing Micron 66 bottom paint and a promise of equivalent performance.
I don't believe that the performance is exactly equivalent, but it's very close. It's pricey, but you're applying it half as often as cheaper paint, so the price is equivalent in the long run.

Very difficult to apply
Requires an insane amount of stirring with a corded power drill to get it to a smooth consistency.

For several years I dutifully filed the paperwork for the promised rebate but was never refunded. Poor against slime and grass.

Don’t ship me old paint
Defender sent me a 2 year old can that separated badly. It took me 2.5 hours of stirring to get it barely usable. Big waste of my time
