IC M37 will not work on high power with BP297
By design the M37 VHF radio will not operate on high power with the optional BP297 battery pack installed. This is on page 22 of the manual which I unfortunately did not read until after I bought this. Very disappointed. I need high power operation so this battery pack is useless. My old Icom handheld does work on high power with an optional alkaline battery pack so this was an unpleasant surprise from ICOM.
