Questions

What is recommended, 35 or 45 degree for 25hp or less, and what does this do? The motor is on a small 14-16’ aluminum boat. Thank you.

Asked by: Captain
Our web site shows a "Bracket Selection Guide"/chart outlining what degree (35 or 45) is appropriate for various motors and motor horse powers. On the search bar, enter the sku number (#870171). Under "Product Details" and at the bottom of that page click the selection "Bracket selection Guide". It will show you what degree is appropriate per horse power AND engine manufacture. This section on our site further explains the several purposes/uses of the brackets.

Will these be effective on a tritoon with a Merc Verado 200? Are they more geared to V hulls and fishing boats, or will these help on pontoon style? Forgive the stupid question, we are new to boating.

Asked by: Danny
