HawkEye DepthTrax 2B
Because of a number of logistics issues, I wasn’t able to do any serious testing of the instrument until yesterday. It was my second one in almost twenty years (the display had faded over time) and this one seems to function as good or better than the first.
NOTE: Both purchase's were as advertised and totally satisfactory. Not so with the website associated with this survey. It’s not user friendly and is a major wast of time. Otherwise, thanks for ease of ordering and subsequent service.

Questions
Will this work if I glue the transducer to the bottom of my aluminum hull dinghy
Hello, you would need to find out the thickness of the hull as this needs to be mounted with 1/8" thick or less aluminum.

looking for a depth finder that works well in shallower water 2-15 feet. I have a sailboat with a foam core that I am willing to open up and fill with epoxy. I would rather an in hull mount. Alarm range?
I installed mine and it doesn't work at all. Should have tested with the bag of water before gluing it in. Just not sure how to deal with it.
