Expensive, But Works Very Well
My first thought is this is somewhat expensive for what it is. It is high quality, well manufactured and seems well engineered, but it still strikes me as somewhat more expensive than it needs to be. At the same time, I could not find any competing products to replace it so maybe the cost is justified.
On performance, this is great. I had tried to use a fairly standard clamp-on pipe drilling jig for drilling holes in the polished stainless tubing which makes up the frame of my dodger and it just did not work well. This jig held much better, provided a better, more stable and more reliable guide and let me finish a task that was simply frustrating using a standard pipe drilling jig. It is somewhat limited as it only accommodates a bit for a #8 screw, so larger screws require a second step to enlarge the hole. It would be nice to have a jig that had a replaceable bushing to drill different size holes, and maybe Gemini will develop one, but as long as you understand the limitations this is a great tool. Price and the bit size limitation are the only reasons this did not get 5 stars from me.
