Questions

I'm interested in adding a non-skid surface to some companionway stairs. I see that it will work with polyurethane but will it add color or milking to a clear finish? Ideally, I would like clear grit of some sort.

Hello, The Epifanes Polypropylene Non-Skid Beads, are mostly translucent not completely but of the nonskid additive's they seem to get the best results with clear finishes. I would suggest testing them on a test piece before using to make sure they will fit your needs.

Im using grey interdeck nonskid paint.will this woI would like more grip than the paint provides alone. should I use 1 container per quart of paint? Do I use it for all coats? If not, should it go in the first or last coat? will it change the color?
