Leather quality has gone to garbage!
Received as a gift from my wife. Have installed same several times over the years so I thought I knew what to expect. Leather quality has gone to garbage. Fully 1/3 is thin and very rough. Thread pulls through this section making this a huge waste of time and money. I'm upset...$265.50 down the tubes. Will submit photos in second review from phone>

Leather Wrap Kit
Nice kit with soft leather. Online videos are helpful. Despite the claims the leather is thin and fragile. Figure 8 knot told to use to start the stitch pulled right through the thin stretchy leather. The leather tore as it was being aligned during stitching.

Questions
What is the weight/thickness of the leather.? 2-3 oz. 4-5 oz?
Not sure about the thickness in oz, but the material feels "just right", and feels very good on the hands.
