Description
Racers and cruisers can both benefit from the Davis WindTrak 15 Wind Vane. The sapphire suspension bearing makes the unit sensitive in light air and very responsive in heavier air. In addition, the bird spike keeps birds from landing on the masthead, and reflective tape makes the WindTrak easily visible at night.

Davis Instruments WindTrak 15 Wind Indicator - 315
Our 23 year old Windex broke (plastic, in the sun for all those years). A bird probably landed on it. This Windicator is compatible with my old mount, so it was easy to replace without drilling holes, etc. It's the best size for our Catalina 320 (as opposed to the smaller Windicator).

Accurate, Reliable, Simple
If you don't know by now, Davis Instruments makes the gold standard of Wind Indicators. I have used them on dinghys and trailer sailers and have never been let down.
"You don't need a weatherman to tell which way the wind blows", but when you are pinching along and really need to know exactly where the air molecules are going, you want to have a reliable, accurate wind indicator. Davis Instruments has you covered.
