Works well, but some quality issues
This Danforth anchor works perfectly well, at least in its first season. It holds well in the mostly mud and sand bottoms where I boat. I gave it only three stars due to the questionable quality of the galvanized finish (see pictures). Notable are bare spots, dross pimples, runs and uneven coating thickness. When shopping I saw the same quality issues on the West Marine house brand anchors, but went with the genuine Danforth expecting a higher quality. As I first mentioned, it functions ok, and I’m just hoping for decent longevity.
