Brushless is best
Bought these to replace old Caframo brush-style fans. These new brushless fans install directly onto the old bases, are quiet, and should have a much longer life.

DOA - very disappointing for a $234 fan!
I bought the Sirocco II Elite but it was DOA when i installed it a few months later. I can get the blue lights to come on but the fan will not move. The case vibrates, but the blades will not turn. 13.9v between the wires and the old fan works just fine using the same power source. Caframo will warrant it but sheesh, a $234 fan that's dead out of the box is hugely fisappointing.

Fantastic!
I ordered two of these a few weeks ago to replace cheapish and noisy Hella fans. The installation went very smoothly and the result is perfection. These fans are very well made and incredibly quiet. I purchased two more.
