Description
C.S. Johnson's "Captain Hook" Chain Snubber can be used to relieve tension from your windlass while anchored or to hold the chain in your anchor roller and tying off on a cleat while underway.
Features:
- Chain snubber with 15' of 5/8" 3-strand nylon line with a professional eye splice
- Relieves tension from your windlass while anchored (required by most windlass manufacturers)
- Secures chain and anchor to roller while under way
- Reduces shock load on cleats and chain stops while anchored

Defender ids all over the place on prices.
It only costs $44 for the metal part of the snubber if bought alone. This means the piece of $1 nylon costs $130 if bought together at Defender.
