The Balmar Universal Belt Buddy is a belt tensioning device that is designed for OEM adjustment arms that do not have room for a tapped hole.
Features:
- The BBU is designed for OEM adjustment arms that do not have room for a tapped hole
- The Universal Belt Buddy will also work with a Balmar Universal Adjustment Arm (UAA) manufactured before August 2013
- The BBU will work on any engine adjustment arm without the need for machining or special tools
- It does not require drilling and tapping the arm
- The disadvantage to the BBU is that it does reduce the length of the adjustment arm slot by about 1"

the right way to tension a belt.
This is actually a good product.. a great product. It saved me a lot of time working one up on my own. I’m used to setting up conveyor belts and know the value of properly tensioned v-belt. When you have two it’s even more important to dial in the correct tension. Having a simple threaded tensioner is the correct approach. It’s a must. Have .. much better than an 18” screwdriver or a third hand.
