Buyer beware
The installation was very straightforward right up until I realized that I needed the proprietary GPS/AIS antenna. Radio has good sound quality and came with my MMSI preloaded. Can’t comment on the AIS because now I have to source the antenna separately. So far haven’t been able to find it on Defender or Amazon. Defender does sell them together, but doesn’t tell you that you need it beforehand. Nor does the one with the antenna show up when you search for AIS radios.

What is the part number of the antenna required for this B&G V60-B?
This unit comes with an Internal GPS antenna. You can install an external GPS antenna if needed, GPS-500. It does not come with a VHF antenna so you would need to select one of these depending on the type of boat you have.
