Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product but read the directions By far the best finish for exterior boat teak I’ve ever found, IF you can handle the price and are willing to follow the instructions to the letter (sand to bare wood, remove surface oils, apply the primer and gloss products in the right order and right curing time, don’t stop until you reach recommended number of coats). If so you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful finish that resists UV damage like no other product. Highly recommended if you’re the kind of person who follows directions well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not an Alwood Fan I would not use Alwood products again, I thought that they would be on par with Alwgrip Polyurethane Topcoats and they are not. Wood has to be PERFECT or you will get disbondment with Awlwood. Where the wood is perfect it has worked well. Going back to sealer and varnish

          Questions

Can you use the brushing reducer with the primer? The recommendation for top coat is up to 10%, is it the same for the primer?

          Asked by: craig
Awlwood MA Primer can be thinned with stipulated brushing and spraying reducers but it isn't recommended as grain filling attribute will be diminished.
