Not sure why I had to replace it so soon
Have ST 850 speed and temp. The old one quit working. Was not that old. Bought the replacement. Vaseline on the O rings and perfect fit. Now have speed thru the water again. Important datapoint for computer to calculate wind speed and angle. Also allows autopilot to work.

Questions
What airmar replacement insert is compatable with a 1995 B&G speed transducer housing and a B&G Zeus multifunction display?
The housing should be either a B17 or a P17.
B is for bronze and P for plastic. Both are common sizes. If your original speed sensor was B&G then this will probably fit
Linking to the Zeus should be done by Networking the Zeus with the processor that the speed transducer plugs into. If the Processor is a Fastnet network ( H2000 or H3000) you will need a converter called a Fastnet to h5000 sold by B&G. This allows all data from the current system to feed The Zeus. If your current speedo works. Just leave it in and get the converter described above.
Another option would be thru NEMA using a multiplexer. It will convert your speed data to a NEMA 2000. I use a Shipmodul model. Not for speed but for other things like my AIS system. But there are others.
