Description

The Actisense EMU-1 Engine Monitoring Unit shares vital engine information on the NMEA 2000® bus by digitizing analogue engine sensors. A EMU-1 unit can be configured to suit the engine it is working with, offering a flexible solution for multiple engine makes and models. It is capable of reading a wide range of engine parameters, and will report how the engine is operating and share the information across the network.

Features:

  • Enables analogue signals to be converted to NMEA 2000® messages
    • Upgrades an existing engine, allowing older engines to be used with to the latest digital MFDs
  • Convert signals from two engines (that share a common ground) with a single EMU-1
  • Six gauge/parameter inputs for connecting to resistive/voltage gauges or resistive senders
  • Four alarm inputs connects directly to alarm switches or gauge signals and maps them to NMEA2000 alarms
  • Two Tacho inputs for connecting directly to the RPM signals from 1 or 2 engines (with a common ground)
  • Two additional auxiliary inputs for future expansion opportunities
  • Customized case protects electronic parts and connections
  • Input protection protects against reverse polarity and transients
  • Wide power compatibility of 9 to 40 VDC for use on most common power systems
  • Bulkhead mount, with optional DIN rail mount kit
  • Total engine hours are logged by the monitoring of engine tach (RPM) input
    • Accumulated engine running hours are stored and shared as NMEA 2000 data
