Questions

Should the barometer be mounted inside or outside for the most accurate reading? I am at an elevated position and in an open area with prevailing wind. Will the wind affect the accuracy? If I mounted it inside will the HVAC affect it?

Asked by: Uncle Mike
This item is weather resistant, but will always last longer when kept inside. The barometric pressure should be the same inside and outside, unaffected by HVAC (unless it is a faulty system or is extremely powerful). This unit also has the ability to be calibrated to elevation up to 3,500ft.
