Pettit 185 Ablative Paint Thinner - 185Q

185 Ablative Thinner is specifically designed for use in Pettit copolymer ablative antifouling paints that contain very high copper-loads. Our ablative antifouling paints do not normally require the addition of thinner to facilitate application by brush, roller, or spray. However, on particularly warm or breezy days or if the paint has been sitting for an extended period of time, thinning the paint may be desired. 185 Ablative Thinner is the only thinner that is recommended for use in Ultima SR-60 and the enhanced "IrgarolFree" version of Ultima SR-40. This moderate to fast evaporating thinner contains a special blend of solvents designed for maximum compatibility and application ease of these products. 185 Ablative Thinner can be used for brush and roller application as well as spray applications. 185 Ablative Thinner makes an excellent wipe-down solvent to remove sanding residues and contamination from the previously painted Ultima SR60 surface prior to overcoating, and is an excellent choice for cleaning application tools and spray equipment used to apply Ultima SR-60.
